a) Description of the organisation[edit]
Instituto Enerxetico de Galicia (INEGA) is a public Energy Agency founded by the Autonomous Galician Region in 1999 with law 3/1999. INEGA is leader company in Spain in energy field and it’s a landmark for energy studies. That’s why it has always been asked to elaborate and propose competent suggestion in energy plans, give dispositions on energetic policy management, make studies and give expertises on energy field for both private and public bodies. INEGA plays an active role in promoting and executing projects in energy field and deploying equipments and services related to energy efficiency. Among the other mandates, INEGA pays attention in fostering programs for energetic evaluation and audit to improve energy efficiency and a rational use of energy and it’s constantly involved in checking and monitoring the energy production plants and greed .In addiction INEGA foster and participates in the realization and implantation of energy production plants based on endogen and renewable sources an has always been in the forefront of awareness campaigns in order to reduce energy consumption and foster energy efficiency To achieve its mandates INEGA can establish conventions and contracts with private and public bodies interested in energy improvements. Collaborate with other administration to foster the adoption of instruments for energy savings and for the rationalisation of production and distribution of energy. Give funds in energy projects to be actuated on its own or in cooperation with other public or private institutions.
