(a) Target Group(s):[edit]

Actors who benefit from the results of your action, now and in the future. A strong engagement throughout the action is necessary. Participation in the consortium is possible. * Set limits and focus on your essential target group(s). A good practice rule is to have a maximum of 3 target groups, but this will depend on your proposed action. * Describe how your target group was involved in your proposal preparation. * List in the overview table below the main group(s) that your proposal aims to reach (e.g. architects, bankers, local policy makers, urban planners, utilities, ESCOs, social housing companies, householders, installers, transport operators, etc.).

RINNOVATE target groups are: (a) owners; (b) suppliers; (c) integrators. On demand side: public owners of buildings; private building owners. On supply side: suppliers of works and services (builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators, etc.), suppliers of products and equipments. Integrators includes: energy experts and consultants; architects and designers; full contractors (ESCO, EPS companies, with or without TPF). Public owners deal with both public use and social housing buildings. Private owners include homeowners and owners of multiple and commercial buildings. Eurostat Housing Indicators (2009) show that about 70% of the European building stock is privately owned. A large majority of these private owners, especially in the residential sector, are individual households (65%) or private property owners with small and medium sized building portfolios. In 2009 a total 73,6 % of the of EU-27 population lived in owner-occupied dwellings. Owners figures were 83,2% in Spain, 74,6% in Portugal, 72 % in Italy, 69,9% in UK. EU building stock accounts for 210 million buildings; half of which constructed before 1973. Current renovation rate is about 1,2% yearly, meaning about 2,52 million buildings renovated each year. This rateis too low to reach the long-term goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 80-95% by 2050. Suppliers and integrators need to be heavily involved to perform this ambitious objective. During proposal preparation, partners held several preliminary talks in order to explore the acceptance of RINNOVATE and to involve representatives of the main target groups (see below).

(b) Key Actors:[edit]

Actors whose involvement is essential to achieve the results of your action.Note that participants of the consortium are in any case key actors. But they could also be organisations outside the consortium that are necessary for the success of the action and where a close involvement during the action is expected. They can be multiplier organisations (e.g. associations) or facilitators or specific sub-groups of your target groups. * Limit yourself to the essential key actors * Describe how your key actors were involved in your proposal preparation. List them in the overview table below. Key actors for successful implementation of RINNOVATE are: organisations able to actively involve target groups and members of each target groups. On demand, side building owners who foresee to plan renovations in the project's implementation time frame are essential. RINNOVATE partnership contacted some representatives such as the municipalities of A Coruña (ES) and Ancona (IT); Hospital of Ferrara, Lega del Filo d'Oro (IT); public utilities owner of commercial buildings, e.g. Publiambiente (IT), private owners, e.g. Sacyr Vallehermoso (ES) and the Confedilizia association (IT). Activities to enroll members of building owners who foresee to plan renovations in the project's implementation time frame are scheduled during the early stages of the project. On supply side, what is primarily needed is to identify and engage undertakings willing to participate actively in supporting the collection of information and the advice process. TRECON (IT) had in depth consultations with Asociatia Inginerilor de Instalatii din România (RO) and CNA Ancona, the latter now part of the project. Other suppliers who are not critical for the implementation of the project, (e.g. component suppliers) will be engaged anyway exploiting the attractiveness of RINNOVATE as a channel to market. On the integrators side, beyond the capability of partners, the key group of Spanish architects and designers have been contacted and kept informed. It is essential for the success of the project that some energy specialists, architect, full contractors and energy service companies will be involved. Academic and technology transfer partners have regular contacts with these organisations. ESCO Marche will participate actively.

(c) Letters of support:[edit]

  • Make sure that these letters are specific to the proposal and that they are concrete about the nature of the involvement/support/interest.
  • If not self-explanatory, you should give a short explanation of the profile of the organisation expressing the support.
  • The letters should not be from the consortium members (i.e. not from the co-ordinator and the co-beneficiaries).
  • Up-load them as an annex in the on-line submission tool (please see Point V – ANNEXES) for further instructions.
