a) Description of the organisation
Fundación Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia (FUNITG or ITG) is a private not for profit foundation that was set up in 1991 by the Architects, Civil Engineers and Industrial Engineers Associations of Galicia. It was declared of Galician interest by the Regional Government on June 18th., 1991. Besides the three founding members other entities constitute the Board of the Foundation: Mining Engineers’ Assoc., Galician Technical Industrial Engineers’ Council, Naval and Oceanic Engineers’ Assoc.; Galician Businessmen Confederation, the Research Vice-rectors of A Coruña, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela universities. ITG is member of the Spanish Federation of Innovation and Technology Entities (FEDIT), Spanish Quality Association (AEC), Galician Quality Association (AGAC), Construction Data Base Interchange Standard Format National Association (FIEBDC), and founding member of Spanish Value Management Association (FEGEVA). ITG is also a Research Results Transference Office (OTRI) and participates in many standardization and certification committees of AENOR. ITG, has assumed since 2007 the permanent secretaryship of the Forum for the Sustainability in the Construction and the Building in Galicia, that is constituted by the main Galician institutions involved in the constructive process, which has within its purposes to approach Galicia to the world-wide vanguard in sustainable practices in the scope of the construction and whose members are the Galician Assoc. of Construction Companies, Galician Societies of Professional Architects, Industrial Engineers, Civil Engineers, Technical Architects and Engineer Industrial Technicians, the Technological Institute of Galicia and the two financial entities, Caixa Galicia and Caixanova. ITG belongs of several Nationals Technological Platforms such us INES (Software) ICT for building (“Hogar Digital”).ITG has been designate by BRE Global Ltd. to adapt and manage BREEAM, the world’s leading building sustainability assessment and certification methodology.ITG has created an advisory council with the participation of most relevant actors of the building in Spain such as large bulinding companies (Acciona, Ferrovial, Sacyr Vallehermoso, Agbar) developers (Asociación Española de Centros Comerciales, ING, Redevco), engineering (RLA, LKS), consultant (ARUP, URS) public bodies (Instituto Gallego de Vivienda y Suelo de la Xunta de Galicia), Empresa Municipal de Vivienda y Suelo de Madrid) and research centers (Aidico).ITG’s Training Area has been providing different kind of technical knowledgment related with Architecture and Environment, such as “Master Degree in Architectural Restoration”, “Engineering and Environmental Management Course” and “Master Degree in Quality and Environmental Management”. FUNITG participate to the "Red de Energía Sostenible de A Coruña" created by the IEE Project Practice Energy.

| Short description of work experience, relevant to the proposal**: | Construction Technologies Manager Since 1997 Mrs. Rodriguez has been developing the management of construction projects. It’s important to enphasize a project asked by the Galician Government, regarding the development of a tool to facilitate the process of calculus and design of solar enery and fotovoltaic panels installations. | Short description of work experience, relevant to the proposal**: | Construction Technologies Manager Since 1997 Mrs. Rodriguez has been developing the management of construction projects. It’s important to enphasize a project asked by the Galician Government, regarding the development of a tool to facilitate the process of calculus and design of solar enery and fotovoltaic panels installations.
