2) Provide Local Administrators with both the knowledge and the necessary tools for the efficient management of public buildings (schools, pools, elderly centres, etc). 2) Development of a web site available in EN, IT, ES, FR and PT where information on implemented actions can be found and information material downloaded, as well as links, news and much more
3) Increase the awareness of young students on energetic and environmental issues, outlining possible solutions for saving energy and safeguarding the environment. 3) Printing and dissemination of 4 practical guides (270.000 copies in the overall) in 4 languages on detached houses, condominiums/block of flats, public buildings, new buildings.
4) Organisation of a Conference for the launch of the project, 26 Conferences for the general public of consumers, 8 Workshops for local administrators, 78 meetings with Secondary School students and a Final International Conference.
5) Media campaign in each country: participation in 57 radio and TV programmes, organization of press conferences, delivery of press releases.
IEE/09/870/SI2.558308 REQUEST – Renovation through Quality supply chains and Energy Performance Certification Standards http://ieea.erba.hu/ieea/page/Page.jsp?op=project_detail&prid=2386 http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/ Ongoing 16/04/2010 - 15/11/2012 The goal of this project is to increase the uptake of low carbon renovation measures in residential properties. Strengthening national building certification markets with high quality services from best practice professionals 1) A complete inventory of tools, techniques and schemes for promoting access to an integrated supply chain for low carbon renovation, particularly focusing on quality assurance schemes and/or schemes for encouraging the take-up of recommendations on energy performance certificates of buildings
2) Development of tools and strategies that can be used to stimulate and encourage action on energy saving recommendations
3) A new replicable mechanism for quality assurance in the delivery of low carbon renovation – to include applicable standards for a quality assured renovation process, a definition of quality standards for that process and information about how to access and work with key actors
4) Piloting of the tools, techniques and quality assurance schemes developed in a number of Member States
5) Targeted communications to convey project learnings and encourage uptake by energy agencies and governments of the frameworks and tools and techniques developed
EISAV/EIE/05/045/2005 RESHAPE - Retrofitting Social Housing and Active Preparation for EPBD http://ieea.erba.hu/ieea/page/Page.jsp?op=project_detail&prid=1706 http://www.reshape-social-housing.eu Closed 30/06/08 1) Demonstrate the preparation of social housing actors for implementation of the EPBD by planning and testing the integration of energy performance certification (EPC) in operational processes and services.
Strategies for renovation of social housing based on energy performance certificates of the building stock 1) Studies undertaken on energy quality and retrofitting scenarios in building stocks in six countries
2) Test and demonstrate added-value opportunities of EPC 2) Results have confirmed the fact that low income households are highly affected by energy bills as they constitute a large portion of income.
3) Develop support tools for West-Europe, South-Europe and East-Europe. 3) A toolset for three geographic areas, which included tenants on the communication process, developed to help housing co-operatives and homeowners understand and make use of the energy certificates of their buildings.
4) Disseminate the project outcomes to social housing actors in order to increase their awareness and change their attitude towards solutions for refurbishments.

It brings transparency in the European market: practices, prices, eco-design and energy efficient devices can be compared.
IEE/07/779/SI2.500397 POWER HOUSE EUROPE - The big green housing and energy exchange http://ieea.erba.hu/ieea/page/Page.jsp?op=project_detail&prid=1795 http://www.powerhouseurope.eu Ongoing 01/10/2008 - 30/09/2011 It aims to achieve the maximum potential energy saving in the residential sector by mainstreaming existing know-how required to refurbish and build housing with optimal energy consumption levels. Function as a catalyst to trigger action to achieve energy saving in the residential sector. 1) The organization of permanent National Power House Platforms to implement local communication campaigns to maximize take-up of IEE project results and actively promote a broader up-take of best practice. National platforms will also serve as a forum for dialogue and exchange between actors from private and public spheres to bring about the energy transition in the residential sector.
2) Workshops conferences and study visits to facilitate multi-level knowledge sharing and transfer to help bring a maximum number of Social Housing organisations to an optimal level of advancement in the field of energy efficiency and the use of renewables.
3) An on-line one-stop-shop knowledge base and exchange forum at European and national levels containing all the information practitioners need to deploy the outputs of IEE projects and allowing building professionals from Social Housing organisations from all over Europe to access information on best practices on all aspects of energy management.
EISAV/EIE/07/069/2007 CENSE – Leading the CEN standards on energy performance of buildings to practice. Towards effective support of the EPBD implementation and acceleration in the EU Member States http://ieea.erba.hu/ieea/page/Page.jsp?op=project_detail&prid=1483 http://www.iee-cense.eu Closed 31/03/10 The CENSE project aims to improve the knowledge across the Member States on the role, content and status of these standards and provide guidance on their implementation. Feedback will be collected for the fine tuning of the standards and recommendations will be drafted and put forward. 1) A snapshot has been prepared, in early 2008, of the utilisation of the CEN standards in national building regulations across Europe.
2) Guidance documents on the standards and regulations/methodologies in Member States are to be published on the website.
3) A report on common trends, barriers, possible solutions and good practice examples on the use of the standards will be published.
4) Recommendations will be made for further harmonisation to the Member States and European Commission.
IEE/07/769/ SI2.499211 CYBER DISPLAY – Communicate Your Buildings Energy Rating http://ieea.erba.hu/ieea/page/Page.jsp?op=project_detail&prid=1800 http://www.display-campaign.org Closed 28/02/11 The objective of CYBER Display is to show that the overall aim of the EPBD, reducing the consumption of buildings in Europe, can significantly be accelerated if local authorities can stimulate behavioural change by communicating the performances of their buildings to politicians, technicians, building users, different municipal departments and the public. 1) An evaluation of the technical and communication impacts that lead to the improvement of building performances with the results feeding into the production of a new communication handbook.
2) 12 Municipal and one nationally visible communication campaigns involving websites, blogs, videos, pamphlets etc. as well as 50 commercial sector members and 20 shining examples of their communication activities
3) Sharing of experience: national (25) and European (3) user group meetings and 2 thematic workshops
4) 2 awards with 20 local authority applicants each year and 5 private companies for the award in 2010 and a resultant 6 further shining examples
5) European wide communication campaign involving 20 e-newsflashes, 20 national presentations, 5 European presentations, 2 short videos, one information supplement and a final Rendezvous event.
