Energy 2020
In the Communication Energy 2020 the Commission identifies five top priorities.
For the Energy savings priority the Commission proposes to focus its initiatives on the two sectors with the biggest energy saving potential: transport and buildings. RINNOVATE focus is on building.
Moreover, the Commission underline the importance of the committment of the public sector that should take energy efficiency into consideration when buying works, services or products.
RINNOVATE actions foresee the development of a competence kiosk for owners (including public owners) will contain procurement guidelines, return on investment calculators, terms of reference examples, service level agreements, legal cases.
